THE ART OF TEXTILE
The art of textile is of extraordinary and peculiar nature by itself owing perhaps to the contiguous features of a painting and an utilitarian item. Anyway, while all varieties represent a combination of a wide range of materials and techniques, each of them have particular attractiveness and effect.
A textile designer faces many challenges and at the same time has many possibilities, as well. Setting up similar tasks as a painter, a textile designer has additional instruments of artistic influence at hand - the texture of materials that can "work" much better than paints.
ტექსტილის ხელოვნება უცნაურია და თავისებური. ზღვარზეა და იმიტომ. შეუძლია იგივე იყოს, რაც ფერწერაა და შეუძლია უტილიტარულ ნივთად იქცეს. ყველა მის ნაირსახეობას მასალა და ტექნიკა აერთიანებს ხოლმე, თუმცა ესენიც ბევრნაირია და თითოეულს თავისი განუმეორებელი ხიბლიც აქვს და ზემოქმედების შესაძლებლობებიც. ტექსტილის მხატვარს ბევრი მოეთხოვება და ბევრიც შეუძლია. მას შეუძლია იგივე ამოცანები დაისახოს, რაც ფერმწერმა, თანაც მის განკარგულებაში მხატვრული ზემოქმედების დამატებითი იარაღით არის – მასალის ფაქტურა და ტექსტურა, რომელიც გაცილებით მეტად „მუშაობს", ვიდრე ეს ნებისმიერ საღებავს შეუძლია.
The fact that Maia Tsinamdzgvrishvili is a good artist is well-known both in Georgia and abroad, since her works have participated in numerous international exhibitions and she herself has many times presented her art in various countries. In a word, she has a long success story.
Thus, my task is rather to explain what makes Maia Tsinamdzgvrishvili a good artist. The talent is obviously essential, as otherwise there would be nothing to say at all, but apart from it Maia has very valuable qualities formulating her inimitable creativity.
მაია წინამძღვრიშვილი კარგი მხატვარია. ეს არც ახალი ამბავია და არც მხოლოდ საქართველოში ვიცით, რომ ასეა: მისი ნამუშევრები ბევრ საერთაშორისო გამოფენაშიც მონაწილეობდა და თავად მაიასაც სხვადასხვა ქვეყნებში არაერთხელ წარუდგენია თავისი შემოქმედება. ერთი სიტყვით, მისი წარმატება დიდი ხანია, ჩვეულად იქცა.
ამიტომ ჩემი ამოცანა უფრო იმის თქმაა, რის გამო არის მაია წინამძღვრიშვილი კარგი მხატვარი. ნიჭი თავისთავად მნიშვნელოვანია და მის გარეშე სალაპარაკოც არაფერი იქნებოდა, მაგრამ ნიჭის გარდა, მაიას აქვს მეტად ძვირფასი თვისებებიც, რომელიც აყალიბებს მის განუმეორებელ შემოქმედებას.
Maia belongs to the generation that had relatively little opportunities in their professinal development in terms of exploring a wide diversity of the artistic textile. Even then her fundamental quality: the need to attain technical perfection, ability to make the best of the decorative potential of each material and techique was noticeable. Later on, with the opening of borders, Maia had a chance to exploit the novelties and with high interest and enthusiasm she started to research the potential of new materials with a view to making use of the possibilites they provided. The key word here is research.
მაია იმ თაობას ეკუთვნის, რომელსაც პროფესიის ათვისების პერიოდში შედარებით მწირი არჩევანი მიეცა მხატვრული ტექსტილის ნაირსახეობების შესწავლის თვალსაზრისით. მაშინვე უკვე ჩანდა მისი ფუნდამენტური თვისება: ტექნიკური სრულყოფილების მიღწევის მოთხოვნილება, თითოეული მასალისა და ტექნიკის გამომსახველობითი შესაძლებლობების მაქსიმალური გამოყენების უნარი. ოდნავ მოგვიანებით, როდესაც გაიხსნა საზღვრები, გაჩნდა ახლის ათვისების შანსიც და მაიამაც დიდი ინტერესითა და შემართებით დაიწყო ახალი მასალების შესაძლებლობების კვლევა და გამოყენება. საკვანძო სიტყვა აქ კვლევაა.
In her research of the potential of each new material, Maia Tsinamdzgvrishvili is seeking for new options for her creative work. Developing new materials and the combinations, various techniques and sometimes even creating her own know how is a very important quality of this artist. There was a perios, when she concentrated on a combination of merino wool and silk. Currently, her main interest is to research a wide range of possibilities of a silk paper and therefore her recent works are mostly created using this material.
Mastership usually reveals itself in a seemingly lightness of performance,
and Maia Tsinamdzgvrishvili´s art is always like this, enchanting its fans by a mixture of exquisite taste, thinking and emotions.

მაია წინამძღვრიშვილი იკვლევს და ითვისებს ახალ მასალებს და ეძებს თითოეულის პოტენციალში იმას, რაც მის შემოქმედებას ახალ შესაძლებლობებს მისცემს. ეს ძალიან მნიშვნელოვანი თვისებაა. მასალების და მათი კომბინაციების, სხვადასხვა ტექნიკების ათვისება და ზოგჯერ საკუთარი know how-ს შექმნასაც ისაა, რაც ახასიათებს ამ მხატვარს. იყო პერიოდი, როდესაც ის კონცენტრირებული იყო მერინოსის მატყლისა და აბრეშუმის კომბინაციის კვლევაზე. ახლა მისი ინტერესი ძირითადად აბრეშუმის ქაღალდის ფართო შესაძლებლობებს აქვს მიპყრობილი და შესაბამისად, ბოლო პერიოდის ნამუშევრებიც ძირითადად ამ მასალით არის შესრულებული.
ოსტატობა შესრულების მოჩვენებით სიმსუბუქეში იჩენს ხოლმე თავს. მაია წინამძღვრიშვილის შემოქმედებაც ყოველთვის ასეთია. ის დახვეწილი გემოვნებით, ფიქრის და ემოციის ნაზავით ხიბლავს მნახველს.
